Bio

Haas is a multidisciplinary movement artist and facilitator whose practice is rooted in embodied research. Their work spans performance, film, and other visual media, exploring the body as a site of inquiry and connection. As director and producer, they partner with artists, community members, city agencies, and educational and arts organizations to create performance-based and participatory artistic experiences that prioritize accessibility, inclusivity, collaboration, and human-centered engagement.

Haas has successfully secured 20+ competitive grants and fellowships supporting independent artistic and community-based project and program development, and produced or co-produced over 100 workshops, performances, and public programs. Their work has been showcased across a diverse range of settings—from traditional black box theaters and proscenium stages to historic buildings, warehouses, galleries, parks, parking lots, and a variety of unconventional and site-specific spaces.

They earned a B.A. in Dance from Columbia College Chicago and an M.F.A. in Dance from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. CV available upon request.

Currently, Haas lives within the traditional territory of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe and the O'odham peoples, today known as the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, the Gila River Indian Community, the Ak-Chin Indian Community and the Tohono O'odham Nation.
